I wouldn't send them your computer or drive. You have a lot of PII on your old HD. I'd make them send you the new drive and just put it in yourself, it's very simple. Then you can wipe the old drive clean if they really want it back. Just because it's not working correctly doesn't mean that there isn't retrievable data on there. But that's me and I'm a stickler for security.
If you got that tool I linked on NewEgg you could try and restore your data from the old HD and then wipe it. Just an idea. Last edited by coastie617 : 10-06-2008 at 07:36 PM. |

Thanks, will see what i can do. Im glad i spent the money and bought an acer. i can go on and on about those compaqs but id rather not. lol
