my .02 cents is that i have not rode in the new altima yet but my mom has an 02 2.5 and it's a great car. i think the new coupes look really good as well. i'd just like to say that it's been (knock on wood) extremely reliable. not the best built car i've ever been in but it wasn't nearly as expensive either. i think it's a good bang for buck value.

having said all that, i have been in the element. i think they are an interesting idea, more of a "niche" kind of vehicle to me. there are good things about like the wash out interior, etc. but, my impression of it while riding in it was that it felt very cheap. it was very noisy which isn't a big deal if you like your stereo on max all the time but one thing i love about my truck is that when i turn off my stereo, even with full exhaust and 32 a/t's, it's still really quiet, at 40 mph in the element it was what seemed like 10x louder than my frontier at 70mph, honestly.

in the end it's up to you but just thought i'd throw in a couple pennies worth of free advice.

find out what you'd need to convert it and make it legal ! ( Probably turn signals, horn, winshield ( use plexiglass ). I see many of specialty vehicles out here in california, that are little more than what you have, so think about it and do reasearch as to what you'd have to have in your state to make it street legal !!!!!

Here are some examples of what I'm talking about:

Learn about the regulations concerning road legal vehicles by going to the site of Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety or the city or town hall where you live.
Step4
Purchase and install the items needed to make your golf cart legal according to the Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety regulations. These include headlamps, turn signal lamps for the front and rear, tail lamps, a red reflex reflector on each side of the cart that extends from the front to the rear, mounted exterior mirrors on driver and passenger sides, a parking brake, and windshield with sticker "ASI", seat belts.

A french motorsports company called Lazareth has developed a road-going ATV called the Quadrazuma. It offers up a maximum output of 120 horsepower at 12,000 rpm, thanks to a Yamaha four-banger engine. The 837-pound vehicle rides on 17-inch alloys, wrapped in low-profile street rubber.
