I've taught chicks to drive manuals in my friend's 5 speed Mazda..it doesn't take much. If his girlfriend can drive a manul, then anyone can. Trust me, if you get a manual sports car and learn to drive it..and then go and drive an automatic sports car, you'd be so thankful that you have the funner manual transmission.

That's how I taught them..in a field. With my friend's old truck. I bet I could teach you. I learned to drive there and then got my Mustang and now I can drive anything you throw at me..I got automatic in my truck though.

trucks are much easier to learn how to drive a standard in than a sports car! lot mor give in the peddle and lower gearing to help you out. when i get into a sports car i still jump it around a little at first because its so much different from my truck!

none taken..i think guys just have a more natural feel for driving then girls do. I don't let other girls drive my car..i'm the only one that does. But i'll let almost any guy that I know drive my car.

there are girls out there that can drive the hell out of a manual car though..and I would love to be able to be one.

That's true..alot of cars have alot stiffer clutches than the trucks, so it's harder to find the release point where you need to hit the gas on a sports car unless you're used to it..
