my opinion on the 08 sentras

2 and a half months ago we traded in our 05 maxima in on a more fuel efficent 08 sentra 2.0SL, so far we love it its leathered up and so on minus the rockford fostgate sound system, the mr20 engine pulls pretty good for 140 hp and 147 lb ft of tq. with a cvt tranny bolted to it, the ride is pretty good also for a small eco car, thought I miss the maxima's vq35 power and optioned out interior this little car aint to shabby, i'd like to take a spec v out for a spin to see how that is. right now with 2500 miles on the car we are getting 26.7 MPG i assume will get better as the engine breaks in a little more, i know the previous sentra is a bullet proof car and built well i hope this generation sentra holds up well also with the new mr20 engine with the cvt. rating wise i give sentra 4 stars out of 5 very nice car.

I like the new sentras...very nice little cars. I know some of them sentras have really luxurious interiers...leather, and woodgrain. It looks like its an a lot more expensive car than it is. I would buy one if i was looking for a small 4 door car.

The spec vs are bada**

yeah when i drive it i feel like im in an altima not a sentra, we have the leather and everything, the engine has plenty of power, if you are a nissan fan (which i assume most of you are) and looking for a small eco friendly car look into the sentra, nice little cars.

I really like the new Sentras, especially mated to the cvt trans. The only thing I don't care for is their choice of chrome on the taillights, but thats minor. I have a friend of mine with an 07 cvt Sentra that has a k&n filter and keeps the tires at 38psi and he's getting 40mpg.
The one thing I don't care for with 4cyl. automatics is the harsh downshifting with the cruise on, going up a hill. With the cvt, it totally eliminates that.

yeah i've really grown to the cvt tranny, smooth sailing no jerks or unexpected downshifts, its my moms car so i drive it whenever i can, i hope the gas milage gets better than 26.7, i was told nissan used nitrogen in their tires, thats what they told us a while back when the TPMS light came on. i deffently like this car but if i were to get one it'd be the spec v

The Sentra is a good looking car. If I were in the market for a small car, I'd definitely be looking at one. I love the headlights.

The SE-R has the CVT tranny. The SPEC-V has the 6sp.

The Rogue is built off the Sentra platform but has the 2.5 in it.

I prefer the older body style and miss my 05 SPEC-V.

I'm trying to get my Girl to trade her Tahoe in on a SE-R but she wants the auto trans SE-R, and I want the SPEC-V.
