I wanted to ask the question earlier when I posted the video - would any of the heavily modded Frontiers stick that landing or would they dropping bits and pieces all over the place?

It looks great, goes like stink (450hp/550lb/ft, 10 speed trans! 0-60mph in 5.8 sec.) but I just can't get past that V6 sound....

50k doesn't get you much nowadays.
Pretty much had that in my Dodge twelve years ago.
I'd probably spend 25 on something gently used and put 25 in to it. While the Raptor is a neat idea, In the end its still not an epic race truck or what have you.

I paid 22 grand out the door for my Frontier in 2007.
I did most of the fabrication myself except where safety was concerned.
Conservatively I have over a thousand hours of fab work I am guessing.
If you don't have the skill and/or equipment you would have to pay a shop. Most fab shops in my area charge $70-$90.That would eat up your funds pretty fast.

I mentioned this before. My friend is building a 1450 class truck. He has over 30 grand in shocks and bumps alone. That is what it takes to build an "epic" race truck.

No desert racing where I live, so no need for 30K shocks and bumps....

My truck has less than 5 grand in shocks and bumps. Anymore than that is like they say"Tits on a mule".

@whistler Would you try that jump in your truck?

Not a chance! You get air while racing but not just for the sake of getting air. Too easy to get crossed up and hurt someone or yourself.
I have a full cage,5 point harness, helmet, fire suit,Hans device but I see no purpose in jumping other than it looks cool.
The 1000 was intense enough and actually scary(loved it!,what is even more scary, is not being able to do it again).
