It is indeed a very cool truck and I like almost everything about it. But why wouldn't you just buy a PRO-4X for say $25k and then put $10-15k worth of suspension and customization into it. Wouldn't it be just as good minus the big V8?
^x2 Imho ugly front end...headlights like a walleye... too wide (looks like Marty Feldman)lol. While this thing has some interesting toys, I could see it making more sense in the wide open spaces, but I'll take a properly equipped Fronty in the woods any day. And for 44G in an economy that is struggling, with unemployment being what it is, it seems more a needless extravagance niche vehicle (lightning) who made it's debut at the wrong time. Nice but meh they can keep it.

its nice to see vehicles like this on the market. unfortunately, i don't think it is going to last long. ford is going to have a really big headache with warranty claims. i would like to see what the warranty exactly covers.
also, theres going to be alot of these wrecked in the desert with paper plates still on them from middle aged men going through a mid-life crisis and didn't know what the frick they were doing.

They're probably going to make a 12 month / 12,000 mile warranty on the wear and tear stuff, like the SVT Fox Shocks.
I want to see a new and improved ranger with the option of a SVT model

I drove the one sitting at the dealership just down from my house. Holy shiit.... I almost cried when I had to get out. I don't have $43 G's to spend on a new truck right now.. Actually I don't have 43 G's to spend on anything. But anyway, it's a sick truck.

On the truck
Calmini 5" lift kit
Radflo 2.0 coilovers
PRG Deaver 2" Add a leafs
Calmini Prerunner bumper with Hella fog lights
Calmini rear bumper
16" American Racing Baja wheels
315/75R16 Mickey Thompson MTZ's
1.25" wheel spacers
SuperChips Cortex programer
Banks 3" stainless steel Monster exhaust
K&N Gen.II FIPK intake
JBA stainless steel cat4ward headers
Airaid throttle body spacer
I saw one at a gas station last week... I nearly stole it.. It was gorgeous, and that truck is put thru the Baja offroad test, not every aspect, but it does pretty damn well for a pickup truck. I would seriously give my firstborn for one of those trucks.
Oh, and it sounds amazing, the guy had a stock exhaust, nothing changed, he had bought it a couple weeks ago.
I am seriously jealous of the people that get to test drive those things..

Current mods: 2 Baja Offroad lights, 2 Hella 500s on roofrack, removed running boards, had a lift but took it out.
Future mods: Hopefully a 3 inch suspension lift, pending money.
They are using them for chase trucks at the races all ready. And us middle aged men going through mid life crisis, wouldn't have to crash so much if you slow a$$ punks would stay out of the way.
