I wouldn't get the uprev. Get a stand alone engine management system with a professional dyno tune. A mass airflow sensor will not work for turbo applications, so you will need a manifold air pressure sensor. You probably already know this but if you run lean at any point during this project your internals could be compromised, and this is prevented with a proper tune. Adequate fuel pressure and fuel injectors running at no more than an 80% duty cycle are a must for reliability. Also look into a wide band O2 (lambda) sensor. Good luck

you have a lot of turbo thinking to do. my friend has one on his gto. they are not the best option. get a pro charger. bolt on and your good to go. i am not sure if they make them for nissan. have fun

Procharger isn't availble for our truck. Only Stillen.

finally someone turbo'n a vq40, the show TRUCKS! on spike tv put a remote turbo on a gen 1 lightning and it had enough power to beat a top end built 454 ss chevy truck, sure a 351 small block is different from a vq40 but the point is they seemed to get good power from it. a single (or twin) turbo for a Z would be good with a FMIC would probably be the best, but if you already have your mind set on an sts turbo set up then go for it. good luck and post pics or better yet videos of it when shes done.

X2. From what I've seen lb boost for lb boost, the STS turbo will make more power than a standard front mount turbo. It actually has near the power for psi ratio of a supercharger, and lag is not NEARLY as bad as a front mount turbo. That being said the most important thing regarding turbo lag when setting up a system is set your power goals. A proper sized turbo/plumbing is the single largest factor regarding lag. 2 smaller turbos will always spool faster and deliver power soon than one larger turbo. That being said, if you're not looking to add on 200+ whp one PROPERLY SIZED turbo will do wonders. Hell, I've seen 7 psi STS systems run an extra 100 whp...

uprevs website says they could tune a turbo frontier but I don't see how this is possible. They flash the existing chip. Does anyone know?
this is how Yes, I'm now Super Charged!!!
if you buy the cipher/osirus pack you do you own reflashes with laptop, and email tunes. without that you go to a protuner or mail your ecu to uprev for a 1 day turnaround. And NOBODY else can tune a forced induction VQ40 with the factory ecu, no piggy back, and standalones needed. you retain factory reliabilty and diagnostic capabilty and all correctly functioning subsystems, abs, body, trans etc...and as you can see from my mpg increase, the blower doesnt have costly parasitic drag. If you want more REAL info on todays tech on blowers go to Magnusons website and look at the MP90 since this IS the blower Stillen used to build their kit

if a procharger would be an opoin i would of considered it.
uprev can do the tune. and that who ill be doing it. i will also have to modify thedriver side wheel well of the intake tube. can wait to get going on this project.
