Dodge 1500

Just drove a 2011 Dodge 1500. Very comfy truck in my opinion and drove smoothly. Would def. buy one next. After more research that is. Anyone else like these trucks? I still love my Frontier though

Dodge has grown on me in the past years. If I was to need a full size (I don't though...) I would def put down the cash for a new Ram.

After local Nissan dealer ruined my frontier after timing chain and guide replacement at 45k I got rid of my frontier.

I also decided I wanted away from government forced ethanol in gas.

I purchased a RAM Laramie 2500HD 4x4 Crew Cab Cummins 6.7 Diesel 6'5" bed.

So I have a much more capable 3/4 ton, more room inside with more options getting about the same mpg NO ETHANOL GAS.

So far at 2500 miles I am getting 13-15 city and 2 mixed routes 19-20 at 70mph this will only get better once the Cummins get broke in.

We got rid of all our Nissans and all gas vehicles, my wife had her second very nice 2010 Murano AWD 18/22 and is now driving 2012 VW Jetta TDI Diesel 42city/48 HWY so far only 10 K on it

Did I mention that I paid what a new Frontier 4x4 CC SL LONG BED would list for.

You did not read wrong!!! When all said and done with factory incentives/rebates and equity in my 09.

$34,600 there abouts.

I checked into importing a Navara or commercial VW with Diesel but would have been to much trouble.

Years ago I imported a BMW from Germany but that was easy compared to a Diesel.

My other choice was Sprinter Passenger van but could not find one at the time with equipment I WOULD WANT.

I'm tempted to trade in my truck. Its already payed off. I could probably get 18-20 grand. I've always owned Nissan vehicles and same with my parents and they have always been reliable though. I was looking at the Titans and they seems pretty expensive to me for a Titan. Are they that great of trucks??

I too Have owned Datsuns and Nissans for many years when I lived in Pittsburgh PA.

Since moving to SC 22 years ago have owned 5 Nissan's,2 different dealers support here sucks to say the least.

I had a Titan before my Frontier, I got about same mileage from Titan as my Frontier using my trucks as hwy warriors for my business.

My Titan had only one problem and thank god I am not dead. My rear end went out of my Titan because I had rear factory locker since I had off road package. It broke down in West Virginia not more than 5 miles from a great Nissan dealer. They took great care of me and Nissan USA stood behind that problem.

I Decided I did not need a full size truck any more and got a midsize frontier,because it drives more like a car than a truck and was comfortable even driving 16 hrs non stop on business trip.

I was disappointed my Frontier did only slightly better mpg than the Titan,also Frontier has crappy turning radius as did my wife's 08 Max.

If I would have better dealer support I might have considered a Titan.

My real choice for my new truck would have been midsize truck with Diesel, but no one here in USA builds one.

I do not like the government shoving ethanol down our throats they know you do not get the same mpg from ethanol gas as straight gas.

They also know ETHANOL ruins a motor but they are going to up the ETHANOL PERCENTAGE from so called 10% to 15-20% so I have read fuel economy will suffer more.

The USA has to make the move to clean Diesel as most of Europe has already done,it makes sense to only have one fuel.

There is currently your 3-4 grades of hwy gas depending where you live,plus winter blend,California blend,northern winter blend to prevent fuel line freeze up,and racing gas.

If EPA and government stopped all the blends and made only one mid grade the price of gas would drop by $2.00 or more overnight.

I have made the choice for me is DIESEL.
