Different, Never ending story II

As part of the car purchase the Acura dealer has said they will install a 2000.00 dollar navi system for us, to make us happy. So I have been going round and round with the Acura dealer and Car Toys to get the Navigation unit put into my wife's new MDX. For more than a week the dealer has said 2000.00 navigation system, "we're giving you a 2000.00 dollar navigation sytem" Then when we go to price things out to get the one we want they say "well, that's what it retails for,...that's not necassarily what we're going to spend for it" so now it becomes a 1600.00 navi, but....that is with install too!. So the one we have stated all along that we want has Bluetooth, the one they were trying to push us on does not have BTooth. We said we know the other one is a bit more, but we'd pay the difference. Well it ends up being 700+ more! Well ok, so we decide we still want that one. Then as I'm trying to get prices for everything the Audio place tells me they don't have a Bluetooth adapter in stock, and I will have to come back another day to have it put in. WTF! So the guy tells me it's 200.00 dollars additional to the 700+ I'm already paying. So I'm thinking I'm getting charged installation fees for the radio etc. being put in and then more fees when the BT adapter goes in. Well, he then says the part is 199.00 and they wouldn't charge labor. I said, ok, I didn't realize the part was so much $. I decided to check around. I call the North store, (same company) and the guy there tells me (after checking twice) that the price for the adapter is 119.00! WTF WTF! I called the first store. They will give it to me for 119.00 He said he is not sure why the other guy would have told me that and that they are making no money and that was dealer cost on the part. DO people think I won't investigate prices and compare?? I am not as dumb as they look.

What makes it worse is when finally someone is being honest with you and giving you a deal, you have to treat them like they are trying to rip you off because most of the time they are.

My wife got her phone wet and jacked it up. Went and got another phone and had them activate it. On my wireless phone bill there is a $35 charge for activating it. First of all, nobody told me there was a charge to activate the phone, and second, why didn't the person who did activate it charge me when they activated it. They charged me for the phone. Now I have to call them up just in case its a mistake.

My point is; how come nothing is simple anymore!!!!! Everything seems so underhanded.
