Des Moines, Iowa

So the family and I are going to be in the mighty Des Moines in a couple of weeks for my cousin's wedding and it looks like we might have a day or two to kill. Does anyone have a suggestion or two for activities? Keep in mind that we will have two small children with us. I'm guessing the wife wouldn't mind a bit of shopping either.

"You're gonna love it at Adventure Land." Take em to Adventure Land. I'm in Council Bluffs, couple 2-3hrs west. Never been to Adventure Land myself honestly, actually never really been to Des Moines either. I don't know what all is there to be honest but beings that I'm the only Iowan on here, I think, I figured I'd chime in.

What's been going on in Council Bluffs? I used to go out to Omaha a lot with my last job. I would always stay at the Ameristar in Council Bluffs. I really liked the area out there and people were very friendly.

Sorry to highjack the thread!
