And I got laid just fine in my snot green '85 Grand Prix with a white vinyl roof with matching snot green velour interior. I think a Focus would have been a substantial step up from that. Girls didn't understand the 3.8 Grand National turbo swap, but my girlfriend did understand the big bench seat.

![]() I totally agree with you on parents giving their kids cars. I mowed the hell out of some lawns to buy my first car.

How is this Big Brother invading anyone's lives? The POTUS isn't engaging this system himself. The CIA isn't making sure your radio doesn't get to loud. The FBI isn't limiting your speed. MIB isn't following you around.
No, this is Ford giving parents control. Control over what today's moronic teenagers do, control that can help parents sleep at night, control over their kid coming home and not to a morgue. Great idea Ford. This isn't sheltering kids, they don't grow up to be any less of an adult because of it. They aren't being sheltered. Besides, kids are going to be kids anyway. They are still going to do stupid things in the car, this just takes some of those stupid things away. Another reason I like the idea, it keeps those kids from involving me in an accident. Now if someone can come up with a robotic arm in the vehicle to slap the person on their cell phone, texting, not using turn signals and, being in the fast lane going slow. BTW, my very first car was my parents' '87 S10 Blazer Tahoe. Yes, the name was that long. That thing was powered by probably one of the nutless wonders of the world, the 2.8 (or was it .6) V6. It was loud, just didn't go anywhere.
