I agree. It's time to see the real car. I have no intentions of buying one, but I hoped the hardtop would be out by now. Along with the Challanger.

It'll be out soon enough. Remember, GM hasn't even retooled the plants to produce the car yet! The plant is still churning out Impalas, Grand Prixes(Prixii?), Lacrosses and Lucernes.

I did however see it in person this weekend. DEAR GOF it's a piece of ART. I saw that and the rest of the car show was ruined..
...

......

Except for the V8 Pathfinder they had on show.

If GM could come up with an original idea instead of playing 'me too' 4 years later, maybe they could sell more cars (retro camaro, HHR, completely missed the boat on the colorado/canyon). At least Chrysler is coming up with some interesting ideas on their own (not that I would buy a chrysler).

GM seems to have one m.o.: stuffing small blocks into everything they can to try to sell based on power alone.

t Firebreed: No 350, sorry. But does a 405 hp 6.0L (367 cid) LS2 tickle your pickle? Does mine...

yea that 6L v8 is a monster, forgot that they were puting the 6L and not the 5.7's into the new machines (eventhough the 5.7 is a tried and true V8 monster when built correctly, though a 383 is even better!

From my understanding they are going to phase out the LS2, and are going to a 6.2L....which is even better.

Sorry nat, but this car has more torque and power than a 350Z will know what to do with.....I'm all for small modern DOHC alumnum engines putting out massive amounts of power (VQ series...) but.....6.2L......

This is one of the very few GM cars Im excited about.

The GTR is not even in the same league as the Camaro, its aimed at the ZO6. The Camaro is to take on Mustangs and soon-to-be Challangers.

Say what you will, but GM is finally headed into the right direction. They are making cars people are excited to drive...or atleast look at. The HHR is a retarded concept and the Canyon/Colorado are inneed of a refresh, but other than that the line up isn't that bad. The Impala make look like a modern Lumina but atleast it doesn't look like the previous gen. The fullsize trucks are looking great these days, especially in black. GM is the only of the big three that seems to be making any headway. While they may not be out of the pit yet, they are atleast hanging on with two hands. The same can't be said about FoMoCo.
