best batteries for a cordless optical mouse?

Alkaline? sometthing better? Riht now im using rechargables, but hate changing bateries so often.

how long should a mouse give me between battery changes? I might go back to corded.

I'm still using the original batteries in my Logitech wireless mouse. I've had the wireless keyboard and mouse about 2½ years or so. I can get by with charging my mouse one a week or less. What brand is your mouse? Also make sure you have a light colored mouse pad.

I use Energizer Lithium Ion rechargeables, and they will last about 6months on a charge.

I use the Energizer rechargables as well and I get plenty of life out of them. Get the ones with the highest mAh rating you can find and they'll last longer. Also if your rechargables are old they may not hold as big a charge as they did when new.

x3 for energizer rechargeables... i usually only have to charge my mouse once every month or two, keyboard batts once a year usually... and i use them both A LOT
