AVG no longer free after may 31st (?)
I got a pop-up saying that after May 31st AVG version 7.5 will no longer be able to get apdates and will require updating to version 8,0 which i believe is the paying edition. Is the free ride over? If so, what other free anti-virus programs are available?

Nope, there is still a free version of AVG 8.0 being offered (AVG Free - News).

Good. I got that popup this morning. I have personally installed AVG on about 10 machines for friends and family.
It does get slower each version though....not the light and free version it was back at 6.x
