Looks great! Do you drift it indoors? I can only drift mine outside, so its nasty. I also had to make a full chassis skid for id
Thanks. I've only drifted it indoors. I was stationed in Okinawa for a while, that's where I learned. It's huge there. I thought Hawaii had a pretty good drift movement going? I know I've seen a lot of vids of indoor drifting in Hawaii.
For all of those other guys that haven't been into the hobby for a while and want to get into LiPO batts and brushless motors, I say go for it. I picked up my brushless (non-sensored) motor/esc combo for about $100. LiPOs are cheap now, too. Go for it!

It all looks so good! Make sure you take pictures along the way!

I'm sure Hawaii has a big drifting scene, I'm just not on the in
I have been drifting this car on my street for the last 7 years Back then they didn't even make drift tires, so I would cut up a piece of 2" ABS pipe. Still running on a set of pipe tires
I think my sidewinder sensor-less motor ESC combo was $120 three years ago? $15 for the USB link..
I used to have a Team Associated RC10GT way back in the day, but I sold it when I was in college because I was hurtin' for money. It had a Dynamite .12spd Paris dished cylinder and went like hell. Those were the days. I'd like to get another one some day.

Yeah but when I researched it, it seemed the cost was almost as much as a new rustler
All you would really need is a motor/EXC combo ($100 and up) and probably a motor mounting plate, or an electric conversion kit with new gears and a battery hold down (depends on what the nitro gear pitch is). You can either use a regular battery for the brushless, or a lipo pack starting at $30 and up. It could get expensive if you buy one of the kits that move things around to change the weight balance, and add a lot of aluminum parts. Then you would be talking $130-200 just for the conversion kit, without the motor/ESC or battery. But I have to admit I'm not too familiar with the offerings for Traxxas'.
Last time I checked the brushless rustler was something like $350?

My cousin's RC10GT had a nice .12 back in the late 90's, he would beat my stock .15 every time
He sold it when he had his first kid, along with his 86' Mustang 5.0. I took the 5.0 sale harder..
