Not into the cars, but have been flying the planes a little lately since my son has gotten into it again.

I have a nitro stadium truck that I never really got running right. It's a shame too because I spent a ton of money on it, maybe around $500 bucks. Kept having problems with some brass collet or something I can't remember. Thought about selling it but I figured with all the money I put into the radio gear I'd just leave it in the attic for a while and pull it out at a later date.

Very true... A money pit is a mild term to call it.... Although, there are many great deals on the stuff on craigslist if you wanna try it for cheap... Ive found many great deals on parts and trucks on there over the years. Mainly from people who buy all the good stuff only to find they dont really know how to work on it or control it haha

I've never had much problem with tuning, just make sure you have a good temp gun and the glow plugs good.. and the due draws water easy, that coulda been the problem

My trucks in pieces until the rest comes... also there's a picture of the "hobby" aka money pit side of my garage

Ive got a revo and more recently have gotten the traxxas summit. Best purchase ever it has the low and high gears with remote locking differentials. way less complicated than trying to maintain the nitro ones also in my opinion

Maintaining is a b*tch I wont lie haha.. I always wanted an erevo. No nitro stuck all over the frame, no stopping every five seconds to check the head temp.... some day ill venture to the brushless side... not yet though, I enjoy the noise and smell to much haha

Haha I still kept my revo just for the fun of having a gas one plus I ve put way too much money into it. I used to have an older duratrax truck that I destroyed and a hpi savage 25. That one was pretty fun I had it converted with Losi LST shocks but sold that one. Ever since going electric though its so much easier to lug it around then have to bring every spare part in the world wherever i went with the nitro ones
