^ thank you!! We need wacko control, not gun control. I will put $100 on the table that Obummer will use this to his anti gun agenda. Gun control will do nothing for the crazies or criminals as neither care about laws. All gun control does is punish the law abiding citizens.
Now, this was a deplorable act regardless of how you look at the situation, and in all honestly I would be for a higher level of background scrutiny when it comes to buying a gun, but do not take my right to purchase one away from me.
Guns are a tool at the end if the day, whether they are used for hunting, sport shooting, or defense.

Just a question, what if the person who purchases the firearm is sane and later on in their life they become insane? How would we control them then?
You cannot account for every scenario. Virtually anything can happen to anyone, at anytime. We can play the what if game, but it's all speculation. There are a few things that can be done, provided they show signs and someone recognizes them. At that point though, it's still a question of the persons individual rights and blah blah blah... It's a slippery slope with infinite variables.
There are countless knife attacks in China and other parts of the world that take place in schools. Many of them result in injuries only, but far to often they result in massive casualties. You don't need a gun to carry out these horrible acts, you need a psychopath. It's not the tool, it's the person.
There are seemingly valuable arguments on both sides, but a gun or no gun, you can do some serious damage if your mind is set on it.
Idk what the real answer is but i know this. I was watching a program just a day or two ago about the largest gun show in the United States. I guess it takes place in Texas once a year.
Every dam one of the vendors and people that attended that they interviewed sure seemed to be a complete freaking backwards red neck uneducated, extremest. Add to that and most of all completely bat **** crazy not one of them the type of person it gives me any comfort to think are walking around with a gun. If the answer is better background checks for the mentally ill i would say that whole dam place shoulda been put in a mental ward.
Again i do not know the answer as i agree a nation where we are not able to bear arms could be very very dangerous. I am the type that does think if you are stupid enough to think our government is not just as corrupt as the government we are so critical of as a nation you had best think again. I do not think i will see any of this **** come to fruition in my own lifetime but i can imagine a time when the sort of things that happened in Egypt this past year could very well happen in the united states in the future.
Still none the less most all pro gun people seem well more off their rocker and far right wing extremest that i would never ever ever give a dam gun.
Before you take over a nation, you must 1st disarm its citizens! It is a shame that occasions like this be manipulated to further an agenda.
If his mom didn't have guns, legally or illegally, they could be purchased anywhere quite readily.
