Glad everybody is O.K. Make sure the insurance company pays for a new car seat too. They are supposed to be replaced after a collision.

Be sure to ask about getting a check for diminished value of your vehicle as well. When your in a wreck, most insurance companies are obligated to pay the difference between what your truck was worth before the wreck and what it is worth after it is fixed. It's pretty obvious a wrecked vehicle sells for less, you should be compensated for that.

I wonder if I should tempt it and install a lift kit and wheels/tires now.

You might want to run that idea by the wife first. She might not be able to get in and out of the truck easily anymore.

Thank the good lord for government regulated safety requirements on American driven vehicles. That's one of the only good regulations that comes to mind right now.
