a few seconds slower? how slow would that be? 9 sec? last time i check most peoples frontiers run a 0-60 in 6.5 flat. stock . now im not 100 pecent on that. i got my heavy *** xterra with 20 inch rims to go sub 6 second 0-60 with just a few bolt ons. well a hand full and there is no way that a so called 320whp truck should run the quater mile in 15 flat. or 0-60 in 6.2. am i the only one who thinks thats a little weak? the supercharger doesnt seem to impressive for me. i run a 0-60 in 6 flat.
again. im not fighting or anything. i found these videos a while back and they are rather dissapointing. witha "90" hp increase does 6.2 in a 0-60 sound impressive to you ? if you can find me a video of a stillen suercharged vq in the 14's or 13's please i wanna see it.

and how about that pathfinder.

and how about that pathfinder.
I know what your saying, however you have to remember you have one of the fasted VQ trucks on this forum. You and shiner have very fast auto trucks. Most people here can't get a sub 6.0 0-60. Especially the automatic guys. I think most mildly modded auto guys are in the low 7's and most mildly modded 6spd guys are mid to upper 6's. Anybody running in the 5's should be deep into the 14's in the 1/4 and there are only a hand full of trucks on this forum running 14's. But anyway I do agree with your point, that for a $4-5000 mod I would expect to be running much better than a 15.0 @ 89mph. I know the pathfinder weighs a little more that some of us, but there is no way a 320whp pathfinder runs that time without something wrong. I personally think their power numbers were "tweaked" some. They showed better numbers than Brutal and he has a MUCH better setup & tune than the stock SC has.

true that. and thank you. ya i know the pathfinder weights a little more. but not that much more! and i do think 320 whp it total bs. with the stock sc. and hopefuly i will be in the 13's with no proplems. from what i have seen. the sc doesnt seem promising of 90hp, but please, i would love someone to show me a vid and prove me wrong. things just dont make sense to me. maybe the videos are fake???

I too wish somebody with a SC truck would run at the track. Everybody who has one I think is 4 x 4 and has off road extras which sucks for comparisons, but I would still like to see some times. From sandys, brutals, & sexterras numbers, it looks like the Stillen SC gives about 50-60whp and about 30-40ftlbs. That is without extras like tunes and injectors to help the kit of course that a few have tried to improve the kit. And hines, I'm sure you will be in the 13's. No problem. A "true" 320whp 4000-4500lb truck should be well into the 13's. You know I actually like SC's and would jump all over the stillen one if it was more reasonably priced. For the true power gains it offers it should be in the $2-3000 range. I would seriously think about one then. Especially since I already have Uprev. But $4-5000, I just couldn't justify it even if I had the spare money, whick I dont . I'm just saving my pennies now for some new sticky tires for this fall. I would really LOVE to get close to the 14.0 point NA. If I can ever get my tires and trutrac I would stand a chance. I'll just keep dreaming about it for now I guess

this is a good thread but i wish it would stay technical so that we don't have to read all this extra stuff not related
i was going to build my own kit but i don't have time for 2 projects as i have a Supra i am working on at the moment
cooling helps the turbo but it wont kill it if you don't run it
Turbo Lag is over rated if you have a manual tranny in an auto you will feel it very little because of the small turbo as another member stated
The lower compression helps but its still high for our trucks
when they tune the truck if they tune it for the max boost on pump then turn it down you should be ok as long as you don't exceed boost the tune was set up for
most aftermarket computers have map sensor that can adjust the map for different boost levels but if you go over it has not idea what to do

also don't go with cheap waste gates and blow off valves
get the Tial ones and stay away from ebay ones as they might be counterfeit ones

and finally beware of boost creep
you can have it creep if you get a wastegate that's to small for the turbo

one last thing
ZIP TIE every vacume hose if its not already clamped

threads are nopt ment to by nature be totally tech, until a sticky is made and closed. Its a discussion, and therefore as most discussions go...tends to drift. Good points, but we're all staying away from aftermarket comps and using the factory with Uprev tuning for blown apps(both turbo and roots) And since Eddie(sexterra) was nice enough to pay for the initial RnD, We can all benefit from emailed tunes the will get you up and running without killing the truck when going to forced induction. Then go have it tune specific on a dyno or the street for the exact setup.....that leaves us only with MAFS which is fine cause once your set, your done. The cool thing about Uprev also is that you can have multiple tunes that can be changed on the fly as can the boost with EVC. Run a auc tank of unleaded race gas, and or methanol injection and you can go from street to killer with the push of a couple buttons

I will hopefully be dyno'ing the truck next week and heading to the drag strip the week after next. Luckily I live only 20 minutes from the strip and about two miles from the dyno. Keep in mind though, that I am 4x4 with no rear locker/LSD and I have 33" tires, so the strip numbers may not be as impressive as the dyno numbers. I'll be dyno'ing on a Dynapack with no tires on, so it should be pretty indicative of WHP regardless of tires.

XterraHines, I'd be interested to see a full list of what parts you are using and the cost for everything up to this point, just for a comparison's sake.
