And Footy, its ok if it goes sc vs. turbo, just like Toyota, vs Nissan. I meen this is what gets stuff like this going, still very cival IMO. And nothing more than bench racing and chest beating.....SO.........lets not call it anything harsher, its not
Wow, I guess I didn't realize how much crap you have on that thing! YOu need to get that whale on a diet! I was more thinking along the lines of dropping a stock truck down 1000 lbs., and I was picturing how much I would have to saw off my OWN truck in order to get there. Haha.

Well I sure didn't mean for it to go that way and I apologize for doing so, but I wanted to get more along the lines of hashing out the difficulties of both ways of approaching forced induction on these trucks. I'm simply stating the case for the supercharger because I have one. Like I said, I am a tried and true turbocharger fan so I am fully in support of his project, and eager to see the comparison results when it's all said and done.

Oh I am sure that STS has plenty of support but it's different when you get a full kit that's been manufactured all in one place. Any time you have custom installation of someone else's product, you are going to run into he-said she-said and warranty issues. Working in the business insurance field has given me some interesting insight into product claims, believe me!

While I can't speak about the Titan instructions or engines, I know that I followed the directions they provided with the Frontier kit and it was pretty well written. I personally have not had any issues with their customer support, but I'm not going to say it hasn't happened. Each person will see a different response due to his attitude, experience, etc. All I know is that I bought the kit secondhand and they still supported any questions that I had quickly and professionally.

As for the price, I don't really think it's that bad considering all that you get. The sale price was under $4K, and you can barely get a Kenne Bell head unit for an F150 at that price.

^^^^i AGREE AND HAVE BUILT SC, TURBO AND NA MOTORS AND CARS. I THINK THIS IS GREAT CAUSE STS MAY DECIDE AFTER THIS IS DONE TO BRING A FRONTIER "KIT" TO MARKET. ALTHOUGH BASED ON M Y EXPERIANCE WITH THE COMMUNITY AND BUYING HABITS, I DOUBT IT...BUT THEN AGAIN OTHER THAN A FEW PIPING CHANGES, A KIT CAN COVER FRONTIERS, PATHFINDERS, AND XTERRA...SO WHO KNOWS, AND THIS IS WHY I THINK ALL THIS IS GREAT FOR THE OVERALL NISSAN COMMUNITY

Absolutely. Unfortunately, often times the aftermarket companies will only enter the market once they have an established demand and the only way to get that is by having people go it alone and fab up their own kits. You know this firsthand with your con rod and piston ordering.

Hopefully it will stem enough demand to get STS to make a kit, which will increase the likelihood of other companies (Stillen, JWT, etc.) to make their own offerings as well. Or lower their pricing.

Not if your original 0-60 was a few second slower. And that's one guy's Youtube video... you're going to denounce superchargers based on that??
