Should work like a charm andbe easy to do. I'm definitely interested in an IMS. And just for some info, the upper plenum has orings that seal it to the manifold, so RTV on the top part might not be needed, but only testing would tell.
Sorry the late reply everyone. I had to step out of the office for a couple hours. I actually swung by to visit my 06 Frontier test vehicle just to take a couple quick looks at the engine bay.

Yes, as you said, the manifold support extension bracket will be very easy to include as long as the spacer is thick enough. There is a good chance it will be. But, there is no telling how thick the spacer will be until we finish the dyno testing of the prototypes.

And yes, the upper intake manifold already has gaskets in it. So, the bottom of the spacer is the only part that needs to have RTV. The instructions will be very specific as to how to apply it.

Thank you. I will definitely keep you in mind.

I will try to keep the price as low as possible without sacrificing any quality. But there should be no reason why I can keep it under $230 or so.

Actually, we are in the process of producing a full Thermal Intake Spacer Kit for the VG33E Frontier and Xterra. Over the past few months, I have been talking a lot with the Xterra guys to generate interest. It took a while, but now I feel there is enough interest to move forward with the project.

If there is enough interest in the VQ40 community, then this spacer kit will be developed first. I have to be sure there is potential interest out there because it costs an awful lot of money to set everything up just to produce and test a single prototype.

Thank you. Yes, we always try to keep parts in stock. The only time you will see any items out of stock is maybe during the summer months where sales are unpredictable. But, I try my best never to have an item on backorder for more than 2 weeks.

So when you place an order, it will ship within 1 business day via insured USPS 2-3 day Priority Mail. If you guys are anything like me, when I buy a new part for my car online, I want it to arrive within a few days. I don't want to have to wait weeks for it.

This sounds very interesting! Lucky for me I got my truck late enough that I missed out on some of the IMS troubles others have had, but I am also missing out on the performance gains that the early adopters received. So yes, I would be interested once the product is fully vetted. I'd also be interested to see your thoughts on a Throttle Body Spacer, and any other bolt on performance parts you can machine for us.

My final comment is this:

We know that IMS make power.

We also know the previous vender had/has serious customer service issues (dont tell me he hasnt)

So the concept is good, we just need to see the execution. I know this sounds wacky, but perhaps some testimonials?

Thanks for the testimonial. Do you currently have one of my products installed on your VQ35?

I think this is a great idea. I am concerned with the RTV solution thou. I know it has been addressed but there are many members of this board that do not believe that this will hold up over time. I do if it is applied right but others don't. This is one of the problems with the other vendors IMS. One member tried the RTV and it failed while another is currently trying it and it is holding up so.....

I think that some real testing on a members truck will go a long way to help promote your business and your reputation.

Good Luck.

I would be interested depending on price. It's going to be really cool to see an IMS that is actually dyno tested before production You might be able to make more power than the other spacer.

I still think it failed because it was applied in the gasket channels, and not on the flat part that meets the manifold(I know it wasnt designed to use the rtv). If the spacer was machined flat, with no recesses, I dont see why RTV would not work.
