My NISMO headers have developed a pretty nasty leak so I bought some JBA's to replace them because I was under the impression that they were CARB approved. I looked all over for the CARB stamp on the header and called JBA only to receive disappointing news that they are still waiting on the California Resource Board to approve them... I asked an estimated time for approval and he said it could be 6 months or 6 years... I'm not sure if they actually did request for approval or not yet, I think he was just making me a mushroom by feeding me shat and keeping me in the dark... Ha. So for anyone who lives in California or has the possibility of moving there I would hold off on purchasing these. If anyone has any insight on where the CARB approval stands please share the wealth. Thanks.

Exactly why I never went with headers or messed with the CATS. I even know a couple of places I could get smogged without any questions but still not worth it in CA. Especially if you have to sell it or trade it in.
I looked at the DT website and I don't think they are making them anymore. There are threads where the collector sheared off from the flange, I think DT discontinued the shorties do to this happening to a couple of people. Thats the reason I went for the JBAs. How was your smog, did you have to find a shady shop? were you able to find a shady shop?

I wanted the JBAs because I thought they were CARB approved, and there might be a chance of me having to live in California again, or I would go with NISMO/OBX. Wouldn't go with the DT due to all the bad reviews and premature failures.
