Nice truck! I really like that color.

Trust me, the mod bug bites hard. Be wary of it.

The first addition is always the most frustrating for n00bs like me..

(Tyger Soft Tri-fold cover installed after much gnashing of teeth and consumption of youtube videos)...

Pics, left-to-right..

1) The obligatory warning label/car tag

2) Proper finger-width air gap to make sure I don't rub the paint off of the cab

3) The obligatory label shot

4) The Bed cover established...

Apparently I need some anti-venom, stat!

Just updated my original post to add more to the WTB list. Reading this site and all the great ideas from others is dangerous to my pocketbook..

Despite being pretty much down with a cold all day and feeling miserable, I had to get out to pick up meds and found time to stop by and have RootBeer's new rims added on.

The silver center caps are the ones from the original SV rims, but honestly, I think they're close enough until I can find some matching P4X caps for a reasonable price.

I'm getting closer to what I thought it should look like. I kinda do feel "poserish" for adding on P4X rims to an SV, but the honest and simple fact is that I didn't have another $7k to buy an actual Pro-4X, and this is close enough for me considering there's probably a 90% chance that I'll never get her off-road.. Sadly, I'm just a commuter who needed a ride capable of handling the occasional craigslist find..

Meh, you don't need the Pro-4x package to rock those wheels. I love those wheels.

Thanks to @mhevne1 for the "new" rails. He was even cool enough to slap them on for me while I was parked in his driveway... (Now I just gotta get used to stepping over them and not kinda "sliding down them" when I get in and out of the truck )

Also, thanks goes out to @EastCoastSV for the idea to replace the stock with a 13" AntennaX off-road antenna. I just gotta figure out how to straighten it, as it came out of the package bent like that...

On the subject of car stereos...

Having just spent about an hour in BestBuy playing with a Pioneer 4200 CarPlay head unit, I'm almost ready to vote that out and stick with the OEM units. Both the Pioneer and Kenwood units I played with were FAR too complicated to be futzing with while you're going down the road... For me, that's an accident just begging to happen..

Anyone know of anyone getting rid of their OEM GPS unit?

I'm kinda depressed that they stopped carrying the better end speakers as well. I had a set of Infinity reference speakers in an old Grand Marquis that I would just die to have back now. Alas it seems that most retailers stopped carrying them, and those you can find are NOS... I couldn't even find any Harmon Kardon or other good series speakers.

BestBuy's top end speaker seemed to be a $100 set of JBLs, which while "not bad" compared to the OEM speakers, weren't anywhere near as nice as my old Infinity References..
