A little history about how I bought the frontier. I purchased this truck on October 22nd 2011 with 1,673 miles on it. It was purchased from the dealership I used to work at (Montrose Nissan in Hermitage PA). I left there because they were ripping me off along with other sales people. This truck was delivered to our dealership in March 2011 in which I happen to see the truck come of the car hauler. I knew right then and there I had to have that truck. But being that I just started there in January 2011 I didn’t feel comfortable taking on a car payment. No one test drove this truck while it was in retail. In May 2011 the truck was put into rental service at out dealership. Various people drove the truck while theirs was getting service. In order for it to come out of rental service it had to reach 1,500 miles. Once out of rental service it was sold as a certified pre-owned vehicle.

Sitting on the lot as a rental truck

Getting cleaned up for me to purchase it.

Those 20" wheels are from my old 2000 Toyota tundra and they don't fit the frontier boo.

At Walmart in New Castle PA comparing this Colorado to my frontier. There is no comparison and sadly they are not selling either.

Should I install it?

Nice looking truck. I like the look of the tint you put on. What exactly are you trying to compare between your truck and the Chevy? In my opinion all you can compare is the body and motors. The SV version is just one of the plain 4x4 models that it has. The off-road version is the PRO 4X. That Colorado is the Z71 version (Chevy' version of off-road). If I were to look at the Z71 Colorado and the NISMO/PRO 4X Frontier then the Fronty would win hands down I believe.

So just curious what your thoughts were.

erase the z-71 package. The Colorado had very similar options/equipment as mine did (ventshades, hood protector, chrome door handles, step bars).
I sell GMC Canyons at my dealership to and they suck. We only have 1 in stock.

Ah Ok. Yeah I agree. The Fronty is a much better truck than any Canyon or Colorado that GM makes/sells. Good choice going with the Nissan.

Updated pictures of the frontier.
Installed the LED bulbs from superlumination.com

Went fishing last week pulling my dad's 1998 Ranger R91. Towed it just fine.

Updated pictures.

Finally got around to installing my OEM tool box but I decided to add a little bit of light too it without wiring anything. I purchased 2 48 LED disc lights from Advance Auto Parts. They take 3 AA's even though the box says 3 AAA's. Also I picked up some double sided 3M tape. This mod with the LEDs and 3M tape was done for under $25.

Buy Autocraft 48-LED Disk Light AC903 at Advance Auto Parts

Also Installed the Nismo License plate frame and valve stem caps

Saw this on a 2008 frontier so I had to order some. Not sure when I'm going to install those. Came from a 2006 Nissan Titan truck that I sold. I don't know if my truck would deserve the Nismo off road or pro-4X decals since its neither of them.

Reverse LED lights from superlumination. I installed the brake light ones but it kept blowing fuses so I said forget the hassle of changing out bulbs and putting in a load resistor to make it work.

My truck next to my old ride. Its a 1999 Chrysler 300M that I tricked out. My uncle now is the owner of it. Still looks good.

Nice truck, and I love the enthusiasm!!!.... Although I'm not sure that the nismo license plate frame and valve stem caps, were worth the money you spent on them..... I'm pretty sure there is not a single person who would see those and wish they had them or even care that you had them.... Also you are right about the the PRO-4x/ Nismo stickers...... I once knew a guy who put 4x4 stickers on his 2WD Ranger.... I asked him why he did that and he told me "because people who don't know the difference won't be able to tell..." I just looked at him and said "Yes, but people who do know the difference will think you're a retard, you ****ing idiot" ......See where I'm going with this......I don't even like the PRO-4X stickers on mine, I just haven't had the time to take them off...Sorry not trying to be a dick, just saying that $$ would have been better off somewhere else but hey it's your truck and your money, so if it makes you happy... Hope you have fun in your new rig... Looking forward to seeing some real mods...lift/ tires/ sliders/ etc.... Unless it's going to be a street queen

I used to work for a Nissan dealership selling Nissan's that is why I bought some of these parts. Though now I sell Ford. I never would have paid full retail for the parts. I'm still debating on the 4x4 stickers. I would like to put 20" wheels on the truck at a later date along with dual exhaust. I will not be lifting the truck at all. Had a bad experience with my last truck that had strut spacers on it. Once my stock tires wear out I'll install 265/75/ R16 tires to give it more of an aggressive look.

I'll keep everyone posted.

Chris
