Can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for. I need to know what spray on bedliner you guy's are using on your rock sliders? I'm not looking for it to cut my leg if I brush up on it but I do want a good grip and durability.
I started with the Duplicolor Bed Armor on my sliders and rocker panel, but I was unhappy with how it bubbled and peeled off. I switched over to the Rust-Oleum Truck Bed Coating and have been much happier. It will wear, especially at the drivers door, and where you slide, but it is cheap and easy to repair. You should scuff the bare metal well to get a good grab. Also, it works well to freshen up you factory bed liner when it fades.
I bought my sliders with Al's liner on them back when that was the coating Hefty offered. When I started using them for what they are for, I kept having ribbons of it hanging off after each trip. I took all the liner off and painted them. This way they get scrapes, but not peeled, and I can just touch up the paint after every few runs. They also slide over rocks much easier where the liner tried to hold on to the rocks as that is what it is designed for, to stop stuff sliding. If you want you could tape off and maybe do part of the top with liner for grip on a step or just put grip tape on top as many have done. Since mine have the built in steps, I don't need to worry about grip on top either.
