Replaced Bed Hooks

I'm not sure if it was a annoyance to anyone else, but for some reason I just couldn't handle having those open hooks in the back of my truck. For some reason they seemed useless. I tried to strap my dirt bike down and the hooks would turn a little (no big deal) but when using tie downs, I wasn't comfortable with the fact that I had two open hook ends together.

I know this isn't any kind of actual problem but I wanted to fix it anyhow. So I ordered up some closed eye bolts. Let me tell you, very difficult to find in metric (M8X1.25). The local Lowes or Home Depot doesn't carry them.

Anyway, just wanted to share in case others were interested. I may Paint them to match so that they look better and are more corrosion resistant.

Kinda adds more security too.
Since now I can string a braided cable through the hole and through by bike frame.
Its impossible to unscrew the eye bolt cause the cable gets so wound up in the process.

Not to mention I used a screw driver to place through the hole and torque it tight so its hard to remove anyway

Know what you mean, on my old HB I ended up welding mine closed and powder coating to match. Much more secure.
