rear tow hooks

well here are some pics of some rear hooks i made up , the angle iron is a combined 1/2 and bought the hooks at home depot , the bolts that mount to the frame i got from ace 12 x 1.25 , ive got to paint them and get hardened bolts to hold the 2 pieces of angle iron together and i should be good, only took a pic of one side for now but i will have 2 hooks to support the weight but with 1/2 angle iron i dont think that hooks will come off lol

I might have to try this myself since I am 2wd and expect to get stuck once in a while.

Nice.
I just bolted on an extra front hook that an Xterra guy gave me. It bolts right into the stock holes for the hitch.

yeah i thought about doin that buti didnt have any factory tow hooks , plus the ones i made up sit lower so when u get pulled its not pulling up on your bumper so much , cost of this mod was $12 for angle iron , $15 for nuts bolts etc and $5 for paint and $6 for the 2 hooks , so $38 for 2 rear tow hooks is not to bad

You might want to consider powercoating the hook instead of painting it. Just an idea.
