Rear bumpers... decisions, decisions...

Since Ive installed my new front bumper and sliders, Ive decided the truck looks way too unbalanced. Unfortunately there isnt a lot on the market for us D40 guys when it comes to rear bumpers.

This is what Im leaning towards (as soon as its available of course)

Calmini rear tube pre-runner style bumper

Pros
*light weight
*great clearance
*looks clean
*d-ring brackets

Cons
*no mounts (hi lift, wheel, etc)

KMA Multicarrier Rear Bumper

Pros
*hi lift/gas can/wheel mount
*clearance

Cons
*weight
*fitment
*finish

If I recall correctly, some of the early model Frontier guys are running tubular style (Houdini, Roastbeef, etc). How do you guys like yours?

Overall Im thinking Ive added enough weight to my truck and need to look into trimming some fat off this chick . So most likely Ill go tubular style and just make some mounts inside the bed for other goodies.

I definitely like the tube style; it seems to fit the overall style of the truck better. I am sure you can figure out a way to mount the hi lift and can on it as well. Although I don't see mounting a tire on it. But 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

Calmini looks like a fairly simple design. Maybe have a fab shop take look. The price might even be pretty competitive. They could probably even add a jack mount and tire carrier if you wanted.

I like the ARB rear bumper. It is the only bumper that protects the bedside.
