Putting a Ranger bed on a 1995 Nissan "Truck"

Well, the bed on my brothers Nissan is rusted completely out. Bolts aren't even holding it good anymore (maybe one) and he needs a new one. Problem is, Nissan beds of that time are few and far between in the rust belt. No one I know who has a Nissan or a Toyota has one on their truck. We could just go with the wood bed look, but then his stuff will get stolen (locking topper). So, on another site (The Ranger Station - Your Ultimate Ranger Resource) I heard that you can use a Ranger bed (1993-1997) on a Nissan Truck. Is this true? Have any of you done this?

you can make anything fit. ive seen a dakota bed put on a hardbody before. never heard the ranger story, but anything is possible.

if you are concerned with looks at all, dont do it. if not, more power to you.

Hick musics right. But it would look better than a bed that's 40% gone.

why cant you just build a functional tube bed? or even have one halo flighted in from somewhere other than the rust belt? Ive lived in Tx all my life.... south Tx on the beach. Getting a part was a no brainer... Good luck on the ranger bed lol. thats going to look Nasty!

I feel your pain. Where in NY you at? I grew up in Plattsburgh... where they love the salt.
No help on your Ranger plan, but it would look better than rust or a crappy wood bed. So if its your only option, I vote go for it.
Why not hop on 95 and drive south and get 1? Find a junkyard ahead of time. Should be able to get something in VA or NC. Not to pricey either. Worth few hours of driving.
Just my 2 cents. Good luck.
