Download IrfanView to resize your pictures. No need to reduce the resolution on your camera.

www.irfanview.com

Open the image in Irfanview, and just use the Resize feature. Just make sure you have preserve aspect ratio checked.

OK i ended up just lowering camera resolution. got them to upload! I used VHS light tint from a spray can then went over with clear coat. I decided to keep the turn signal/back up centers the original clear to keep the factory look. But chainged out amber turn signal bulb with a clear one for a more european style. I wanted to keep a clean factory look and not have them stand out to much !

Looks nice but I hope you don't have a clear white bulb for a turn signal. You could end up being cited for that if you do.

was there any sanding involved in your process? or do you just spray it on and let it dry? also, do they feel and look smoth like they did before you tinted them?

changing subjects......you could get a ticket for not having orange or red bulbs for blinkers. that is a law in most, if not all states. here is an easy solution to that problem. this is a pic of the clear corners i had in my ranger. the bulb looks like a mirror, but when lit up, it appears orange. i believe APC makes them. they are called the titanium series.

I basically used the info i got hear from someone who posted this done to a 350Z but i used 1000 grit insted of the 800 used on the Z to scuff the light so i got a smooth tooth for the paint to adhere to . Also i spoke to a body man on the last step (cut n polish) he recommended not to use cutting compound on the frontier light because of all the angals plus spray paint is more delicante then regular automotive paint so there's very high risk of burning paint.

Also i let my can of spray paint sit in a cup of warm water for a few minutes before i use (something i did back when i use to build model cars i find the paint comes out a bit smoother less globby when warm) i also recommend a heat gun not only to makes the job much faster but by cutting dry time to just about 4 min theres less time for dust, bugs ect to get on wet paint! just be careful not to burn the paint,

As for the turn signal i dont know about the law hear but it is a oem 3156ak replacment I got from kragen plus not all cars have amber turn signals ? i will just have to tack my chances .

The light is quit smooth but ther is some minor orange peal so i took it to my friend who has a bodyshop to see if he could polish it out he said the orange peal is not bad and not really noticeable so he recommended not to try to polish or wet sand. over all im very impressed with results.

Rear turn signals are red or amber, not clear. They make clear bulbs that light up in colors such as red or amber but the bulb looks clear until you use it.

I looked in the owner's manual and it calls for a 3156AK bulb for the rear turn signal. The A stands for amber and the K is Krypton filled. They sold you a regular bulb that most likely goes behind an amber lens.

Looks great!

I was curious if it would look good on black with the half tint, so I did this little photoshop:

taillight black.jpg

I think it looks pretty sharp, may have to do this mod when I get home from vacation.
