well on some other brands the OEM is actually pretty good. I`m also a fan of Lund/AVS etc etc standard hood deflector but this time I opted for the new Aeroskin by Auto Ventshade. I was a little reluctant to try bc it is attached by 3M tape. After installing the Aeroskin, it is slim line, sleek and looks great...
I`m not to worried about any paint fade, dust/dirt or irregularities bc it will remain on there unless it gets damaged somehow, and then replaced with another...
im glad you bought that. i had been contemplating it myself. could i get a direct head on shot. id like to see how it look with the whole front end. i have color matched grill but i think itll still give me a decent idea of what mine would look like.

i dunno man. your truck is too shiny. doesnt look like mine :P

doesnt look bad actually. not sure that it would perform the same as the OEM deflector though. sure looks clean though. i mean. flush and all. nothing to clean out from behind.

there are maybe 4 - 1/4 gaps in the 3M tape. I thought water/condesation/dust/road dirt might get in there, but I couldn`t see it anyway...

with reading a few reviews of the OEM and aftermarket alike, then comparing that to the new Aeroskin, I said dang, lemme give this a shot... grew on me right away, and it was a win win for the misses! and you know what that means!

I never did believe the floating style deflectors actually made rocks deflect. I`d be hard pressed to even say leaves would float on up... I`ve had just about every style on other rides and still managed to crack a windshield.

so at least it will prevent rock chips and such on the leading face of the hood...

hahahahahahaha, that was great!

actually the Shiba Cruiser is relieved, relieved from daily activities, relieved from grocery duty, walmart duty, hahahahaha

now the FJ can merely Tow the yacht and cruise the Shiba`s to the park!
and maybe just get back to the stance it once was...
enjoy!

in all seriousness, we`ve had a few Nissan`s in the stable before, I acctually miss the 05 Xterra and we are both happy with the Fronty... even tho it is only 2wd...

Just finished installing my oem protector, what a pain in the a$$, why they chose to use those piece of crap anchors I'll never know. If it ever has to come off it's getting bolted on.
Looks nice though, should keep the hood from getting chipped and sandblasted.
