I have the same marks on my stock Nismo rims. Some places just don't take the care in doing it like they should. I agree with others that you should go back and show them and see what they will do. Possibly a discount or at best new rims, or maybe they will get them referbushed. Wasn't there some kind of post where the guy got new aftermarket rims because the shop scratched their original OEM ones?

You know, I've been in the tire business for going on 14 years and I think myself to be quite an expert on the mounting and balancing of tires. Yet when my front two tires took a dump on me with only 430 miles on them(yes BFG warrantied them 100%) I did the replacing myself, cause i hate other people working on my truck. And low and behold, I have the same scratches. I used a hunter maching with a nylon mounting head, set the gap to about 1/4" off the bead seat of the rim and went slow. Still messed up. I think it's just the design of the rims, the face comes out a little much and it just ever so slightly hits. Next time I do any tire work, I'll use painters tape around the edge to make sure no chance of scrathing them

RedAlert is right. The spokes come out even with the rim of the tire. Really hard not to leave a mark. The blue painters tape is a good idea. My Nismo rims have the same marks also.

Factory rims are not very durable as far as finish goes. Trust me I've rotated my tires myself once, taking great care, and I have marks to prove it
