KMC XD 122 Enduro wheels?
My birthday is in August, and my girlfriend has been thinking of some present ideas. Today she something about ProComp Xtreme Alloys (which surprised me, because she shouldn't know what they are), so I started prodding a little and she said she saw a truck today with wheels she liked so she went and took a closer look at them. When I told her they are only about $100 a piece, she was really surprised and asked me if I would like wheels for my b-day, because she liked the idea, but thought they were going to be a lot more $$ than that.
Anyway... It got me looking at wheels. I like the ProComp 7089's: ![]() And KMC XD 122 Enduro's: ![]() Does anyone have the KMC's? I think they would fit, but I'm not sure, since I know these trucks are hard to get wheels for. The specs are 16x8, 6on4.5, 0-offset, 4.5" backspacing I like both wheels, but I like being a little different, so I like the KMC's more, since I see a lot of ProComps on the road. What do y'all think? A little PS job of the XDs: ![]() ![]()

Buy the KMC enduro's...you don't want to be like everyone else and their mother do you?
The KMC's are going to cost more, and I am not sure if they have enough offset to clear the calipers with a 16" wheel. I know for sure the ProComp's 16" will fit fine and have a better offset to stick the wheels out a little more. The other thing I like about the ProComp's is how large the lip is, it prevents some damage while offroading. The enduro's really don't have a lip, so you may end up with some damage to the face of the wheel. Just my opinion on the matter. I have had the 7089's for a while now and they are, in my opinion, the best wheel we can get for the frontiers without adapters. However, if we had the 6x5.5 pattern I would have never even considered either of those wheels. |
