Thats better than porn. Now if I could just get someone to bash my factory bumper to justify getting one. When are you getting the rear KMA to match?

Funny thing was a few days ago we were in the truck and the car behind us got rear-ended when we all stopped behind a bus. I told Rachael about it and when see said how mad she would have been if it were us, I said "It just gives me a change to get a new rear bumper to match!" I'm thinking I'll only replace the rear one if it gets screwed up some how. Any extra funds would be going to sliders or a winch.

Was wondering when you were going to pull that one out.

should have sticked with the shrockworks.... no welding required, so you could have done it all yourself. but it still looks good though.

KMA is way cheaper, probably shipped faster, and I think it looks better myself

Fabrication required for installation of Kennesaw?

Ragin,

First of all, your "rig" looks very cool...

Secondly, are you telling me that extra fabrication is needed to install the Kennesaw wincher?

I just laid down nearly $1000, including shipping to Texas, for the same bumper...with cut outs for my PIAAs, shackle mounts, semi-gloss black, etc. I think it will look exactly like yours but have a winch installed.

Tell me that what I ordered will bolt on...

Thanks,

Doc

Well Doc,
I wish I could tell you that it was completely bolt-on, but....it ain't.
The welding portion, however is not all that bad and can be done be a competent shop in about an hour or two. The brackets DO bolt into the holes for the factory tow hooks (there are bolt holes on both frame rails, even though we only get one hook), plus one of the holes from the facotry bumper support - with the addition of a small metal tab that has the be welded onto the bracket at a 90-degree angle. Once the brackets are on then the installer can lift the bumper into place (see pic of bumper on jack) and weld the brackets in place on either side of the winch box. For most 4x4 or custom welding shops I'm guessing the price will be about $150-200 total.
I do wish I had know more about the install process before hand, but KMA was not very forthcoming with the instructions in advance, and even after I got the bumper instructions weren't enclosed. After asking for them to be emailed, I finally got some...for the Armada.
