So I have a Pro4x with the Bilsteins.......comfortable, supple ride for a decade old truck design, but a ton of shimmy and flex as I am sure I don't have to elaborate on. I have the sliding bed rail setup. I have to think someone makes a set of 2 or 3 "strut brace" style sliding metal rods to slide into the bed rail system when unladen, that would stiffen up the body?
Yeah, suppose it was a boneheaded and misdirected idea. This is my first truck but I guess that makes sense since the bed is just a separate component. The truck does ride quite supple-y with the Bilsteins at least. King cab, long-looking truck and I'm sure wheelbase helps. Just that if you hit certain bumps, or go over certain surfaces at speed, you can feel the earthquake-like ripple starting in the rear and moving forward. I guess that's just a truck.
Was amusing when it happened the other day and I was onthe phone with my accountant, it sounded like someone was beating on my back while I was talking. I'm sure he wondered wtf I was doing
Yeah I don't know what the H@ll he's talking about? What kind of previous vehicle are you coming from? I have had a Camaro SS, Z28, WRX's, STi, and a Lotus Elise, and I think the Frontier holds it's own pretty well.
With movement like that, how do you get away with something like the roof rack on this truck Overland Expedition Vehicle - Bone Tactical ? I was wanting to do something similar for my truck, but after seeing that video, idk how it'll keep from bending/breaking.
