First off, nice write up. I ordered the heated mirrors as soon as this was posted.

It appears that part # 96365-EA00A (Pass Side) does not have the heating element installed. Part 96366-EA00A (Drivers Side) has the element but it is covered up.

So it looks like people need to order 96366-EA00A and 96365-EA16A OR 96366-EA16A and 96365-EA16A.

I'm guessing that Nissan or the part supplier ran out of the standard driver side mirror glass and just started covering up the element on the heated version and started selling it as the standard version.

Again nice write up.

Thanks for the info. I only saw the RH (96365-EA00A) for a few minutes. I thought it had the same covered terminals as the LH one did. At that time I didn't know they were covered up so I could have missed that. I'll make an update on the write up.

You could add a toggle switch in the dash. All that is needed is 12v to heat them up. I would make sure that the switch had a timer or turnned off with the ignition so you do not leave them on.

If you really want them you could check to see if the wires for the switch are there. You might get lucky with that. I've read on other posts where the wires for other switches were there. (ie. Hill descent control switch) So you won't know until you check.

Nobody with a KC has stepped up to check for those wires yet. If you do, let us know what ya find.

Thanks,

Chad

GolfTango said that he would check his wiring. I haven't seen him report his findings yet.

I took mine apart a little while ago. The main wiring for the controls are in the 26 pin harness (M49) at the top of the controller. I don't know how many cavities are vacant because I did not unplug it.
