Dual CB Antennas and Scanner Antenna`

So I had a 3' CB antenna and a 3' Scanner antenna on my truck. Wasnt quite doing it for my CB.. Soo i decided to upgrade to dual 4' CB antennas.

So heres a few shots of the Dual 4' CB antennas and the 3' Scanner antenna, as well as an interior picture. I installed everything this afteroon, my hands are still freezing. I was lucky enough where I didnt hafta cut the wire from the manufacturer, it was the exact length I needed. I coulda used another foot or so, but I made it work:

Is that a BCT8 scanner you have? I really like mine. Got the PC program ScanControl with the DataGrabber. Easy way to program your scanner from you PC.

Its a BCT15 scanner, one of three I own. And the CB is a Cobra 75 WX ST.
Talk piece is the scanner itself. It has a small remote box you hide and run the antenna line to. I mounted it with the plate it came with. Screwed it into the dash and it holds it.

Correction: Thats actually a BC-RH96 remote head... my BCT15 is under the passenger seat.

old thread, but wanted to ask you what parts you used to mount your antennas to the utilitrac?

I'm going to do the same setup. I got a Cobra 75 for my bday but no antennas yet.

Also, what's your opinion on single vs. dual antennas? I've heard duals are more show, less go.

Thanks

You'll have to find the antenna bracket that best suits your needs but it has been confirmed that this style of "Spring Nut" works in the Utilitrac Channel. They are avail. at Home Dep. or Lowes. Go to the Electrical Dept and ask where they have "Unistrut" and these will be close by. About 5 bux for a bag of 5..

(If you cant see the image do web search for "Thomas and Betts Spring Nut"
