Custom Roll bar i made. :)

Well im not done so sorry no pix yet.

almost 8pm, just lef tmy shop . Stayed 3 hrs overtime (hope the boss pays OT) making me a setup. I did a roll bar for the rear. I made it so it sits right infront of the brake light. I went ahead and cut out the word frontier on a piece of plate.

I then cut out a section of the pipe which blocks the brake light. I cut out a small section in the back and a larger one up front. I welded the metal frontier plage over the cut out and put it up on the truck. Now when you hit the brakes, the frontier name shows.

Tomorrow if i have time ill work on mounting it to the truck. I plan on cutting out some loops and weld it to the piping so i can use it to suppliment my utilitrack.

Now to get me some PIAA lights or something to mount them up top.

I have a truck. It gets me from A to B. Why I spend so much money changing it, I will never know. Is there a cure for this disease? I have no idea what I would be using all my money for if there was a cure.

2am cant sleep so i came to the shop to show you what i have done so far. Tomorrow if i have time ill make the mounts for it and take it to the powdercoater to sand blast and coat in black.

Its in the raw state so it looks ugly etc. Wait till its fully done.

Hellas here i come!

If i get enough request for it ill start making it . I can put your GF or wifes name on it if you want. NOT! Actualy i can put almost anything on it if you like.

Let me see how creative i can get and see if i can add some hoops to it for extra tie downs etc.

That looks sweet, but is it made out of exhaust tubing? If so, I wouldn't think that would be a very good tie-down point.

Looks nice over all...But do you plan on it being functional at all. Might need a lot of reinforcement. But looks good over all.

Only regret is that it is not a diesel...Damn US limited engine choices.

Tie down point will be at the base on the actual steel plate. The tubing is the same thickness as the crash bars / brush bars you guys have up front. The only difference is that i used aluminized steel vs mild steel which those pipes are made of. Mild steel rusts overnight (like your rotors). ALuminized steel is mild steel dipped in aluminum so its alot better at resisting corrosion. Thats why when you get nicks on those brush gaurds, you start seeing rust come through the chips.

Yes its functional. Its pretty sturdy. I just have to renforce the center portion due to the cut out.

Im going to m ake a piece that goes in the center to protect the rear window. ALot of peeps down here shatter it alot when their bikes/ atv's etc lurch foward after hitting the brakes.

Give me some idea guys as what I can make as a rear window guard for it?

Maybe these certain people should learn to tie down a load properly....lmao
you could use small dia. round bars and weld them on one at a time. Or you could look around for some kind of welded steel mesh, like the steel fencing at jobsites
