chrome door handles

I am thinking about changing my door handles to chrome. I noticed that there are snap on handles for $45 and the real deal for $51. Does anyone know how reliable the snap on's are? Or should I just pay the extra for the real deal?

go for the oem handles. easy swap out and i would imagine not having to worry about those snap on handles falling off when hitting some serious terrain. open your door and look for a rubber stop near the locking mechanism. pull it out w/ some needle nose pliers and use a torx head to remove the one bolt. good luck!

Don't waste your money on the snap on. Go with the real ones. I have both and in my opinion the real ones are way better than the snap on ones.

First open door. Just above the latch mech on the side of the door you will find a rubber gromet inline with the door handle remove this. Now with the right size torx head (30) back the screw out, it is capature inside the bracket so dont worry about droping it in the door panel. now stick your finger in the hole and hold the bracket in place (this is only the driver side; once the door handel is out the bracket can fall out between the door and inside panel, found that out the hard way on the first door ) now remove the rear smaller piece. next pull the door handel about a 1/4 to half way out while pulling backwards with light pressure. It might take a little jimming but go slow and it will come right out. reverse the process make sure the door locks and opens/shuts and you are done.
