Has anyone else tried installing these in the cargo lights and have degraded keyless entry performance?
Mine for the cargo light have not arrived yet, but I just tried using my keyless entry while next to both a legit Cree flashlight and a Chinese knockoff. No issues. Clearly, at least some of them are not well shielded since you guys have had issue.
Where is the receiver for the keyfob on our trucks? If it's mounted next to the cargo light housing, that might explain the issue. Wouldn't be the first time cheap electronics generated interfering RF. I'll do some testing when they come in and see what the issue is. Many people seem to have issues with the range on the keyfobs, maybe the range mod thread on here will fix your problem?
I have the JLC lighting 921 CREE bulbs in my reverse lights, and very similar bulbs in my cargo lights from retro solutions, which look almost exactly like the JLC lighting bulbs. Installing these CREE bulbs from retro solutions in the cargo lights messed up the use of my keyless entry though. The keyless entry rarely works any time the cargo lights are on. As soon as the lights go out, keyless entry works great. Since you mentioned some radio interference when backing up, I thought of my issue. I'm wondering if any CREE bulbs of this kind would mess up the keyless entry. I guess I could try swapping the JLC and Retro bulbs to see what happens.

From what I understand it could be luck of the draw depending on what batch of Crees you get...or any LED for that matter. Some do, some don't. I'd got V-Led SMD bulbs in my cargos and am very happy with them. If you are intent on the crees they also make a 921 with cree focused beam bulbs similiar to these JLC bulbs. But, yes you could try swapping them and see if it helps any.

There are also the new V3 Triton from V-Leds. Note: THEY ARE NOT CHEAP! Mostly because they just came out on December 1st, but they are the best turn signal/daytime driving/reverse/brake lights available, period. I ordered the reverse, brake, and turn signal the other day, and am waiting for them. But, as you can tell, there are incredibly bright, maybe overkill!
I thought about getting some V3's, but if I ended up liking them it would cost $400 to do the front/rear signals, tail lights, and reverse lights.. That is a little crazy even for me
Do you want me to assist you in getting some LEDS.
