Blacked Out Projector

So I received my projectors in mail and started taking it apart to paint the top chrome blinker and the side corner amber light. Didn't have access to a good camera only phone, and phone doesn't take good night shots.

Did you use the oven trick to get them apart or did you use another method? I like the look of them with the all black scheme.

At night they look even more stealth. And I smoked the side corner amber light so you can see that at night too. Hopefully get some night shots soon. Good luck with painting yours it'll be sweet.

I did use the oven method and now that I know how I'm probably going to work on painting the stock headlights. Turn the oven on to 350, then turn it off and put the lights in for about 10 min or so. You should be able to pull it apart with a little force. Good luck!

nice job. my only suggestion is to get amber bulbs with chrome sheen over it for your turn bulb. it will make it cleaner, with no orange in the housing...

The amber bulb with the chrome coating is an excellent idea, I didn't even think of that. Thanks for the tip.

My next project is modifying the top amber light to just blink and not being on as a parking and running light. Soon to have the grille painted a black chrome as well.
