Post How to Black out your chrome grill

Well finally had the balls to do it. I always wanted to black out the grill but I didnt want to break anything. Its easy guys and cheap. The grill comes out and goes back in easy as long as you dont break anything. 6 plastic screws up top and 4 clips, 2 on each side. The lower clip is connected to the headlight on each side. The whole thing takes a few hours so its best to try at the beginning of a day off. If you mess up, acetone takes it all off and brings it back to chrome. All sanding does is takes away the mirror finish. From there. Clean with wd40 to make sure your not painting over dust. Primer, apply gloss or flat black, then 3-5 coats of clear coat. Then put it back in just how you got it out. Dont forget the outer edges.

Anyway heres some pics.

Next is the blacked out headlight mod. The rims. Then the mirrors. Then the bumpers.

I'm going to do black projectors off of Ebay and I'm thinking of blacking out the grille too. I think it would look pimp with black headlights, black grille, and then the billet grille over top of that. DAMN!
