I've been wanting to do this mod for sometime now. I've been looking for a extra set of headlights on ebay to try with. I did it on my '02 civic and it came out really good. Super easy...didn't even need to bake those lights to get them open. I hope to do this to the truck within the next few months.

i actually have been very interested in this mod. the problem is, i do not have the time to do it. also if i was to perform the said mod, i would want to do it on a UK or Aussie spec headlight, as they have the clear turn signals.

shift_this,
i think the way our headlights are built into the front end are very similar to that of the tacoma's. you have to take off the fender liners and the front bumper cover just to be able to remove the headlights completely. just ask anyone who has installed the halo headlights on their truck.....

People were doing some serious damage to hoods on Maximas to steal the headlights and ballasts. For the most part there were held on by 2 tabs at the top of the headlight assembly. You would se a lot of them on ebaY with broken tabs which made most Max owners consider them stolen. They were/are super easy to remove and New Jersey sued Nissan because that's where most of the thefts occurred. Nissan was aware of the problem and offered data dots and anti theft kits to certain high theft areas.

Yeah, when I first joined back in June that was a big topic--how Nissan and the aftermarket catered more towards Navara than Frontier. We have a few things the Aussies want though like the Titan. I feel sorry for those guys because they have to wait soooo long to even get their trucks because apparantly they're the last on the list to get anything.

I downloaded the PDF of their brochure and I like their no-drill roll bars. They've got some interesting bull-bars too. Not to mention their choice of caps.

Once you get the US specs headlights open, I don't imagine it would take much to clear the turn signals (aka remove them or pop them out). That's what I did on my ricer.

I've been thinking about doing this, along with a blacked out grill. Need to find someone that bought those HID kits and buy their old headlights.
