Black Headlight Mod

I took the concept of the blck headlight mod for the tacoma's as seen here
http://www.customtacos.com/tech/index.php?article=222
and here http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t106329.html

Since no one has done it yet, I did my best job in photoshopping it.

I think it looks pretty darn good. But the photochop could be alittle off, so we need someone who is daring!

Good luck to whoever wants to take this on, and be considered a legend ().

the only downfall is you damn near have to rip apart the whole front clip of the vehicle to get the headlights out. i dont know what the nissan engineers were thinking when they were designing........

For that blacked out headlight look, I'd want to get these acrylic covers and smoke them out instead of messing with the headlight itself.
They're from carryboy. When the time comes and I get some money, I'd like to contact one of our Aussie members and ask if they could score a set and ship them.

This is a better idea. Much easier and less work with the same effect. And if you get tired of the look you can just remove the cover.

How much do they run in dollars.

They probably got the engineers to make it that way after the HID theft debacle from 02-03 Maxima. Not that anybody would steal non HID light but that's probably the mindset of the design teams now.
