got a price quote from discount tire and for a set of 285/75/16 bfg mud terrains and they want 983 and some change and tire kingdom said they would do it for 963.Are these prices good considering the brand or should i just keep shopping around to see if i can get them any cheaper?

How do they sound? Let us know how much mpg you lost... I lost about 2-3 with my Terra Grapplers...
Oh yeah. Show us some pictures.

I can get those 285 bfg's brand new mounted and out the door for $650 from the local Mexican tire shop, I'd keep shopping around.

As for BFG MT's, I've heard of people getting 40k from a set but also that they can be a little scary in snow but otherwise are a decent tire. Quote:
pics are required if you're going to tell us you got new tires and the look good...
