AMI antenna's

I've had one for a long time. Works well. Still have fairly good reception in and around town. Chose black to blend in with the truck.

Question, I have an 07 Nismo King cab...does it come with a stubby antenna? I was always wondering because I don't have an antenna, just a little stub by the right window...and my radio reception sucks ***.

What do you think is better as far as reception/price? What height? 9-12" range?

Here's some i found. Tired of the long 31" factory one.

I was impressed with the stock '07 KC Audio system.
And Yes you need an antenna for AM/FM.
Seems Nissan's engineers did a few calculations.
The stock AM/FM antenna screws into the base and is about 30 inches in height.
That means the 50 ohm "Half Wave Diapole" antenna is tuned to the FM Band.
A quater of the radio wave is picked-up by the stick, ... and the other quater part of the wave is picked up by the truck's body. AM does not really need a tuned antenna.
Rubber Duck antennas are Quater Wave or even Eighth Wave and do not have the reception (micro volts) sensitivity as the 30", but are OK in an urban enviroment where the radio waves are strong.

So shanny55, screw in an antenna.

Knew something was up with that! Thanks...there is no Nissan dealership here so I couldn't go look. I guess I will have to go out and find an antenna!
