I paid 150. Don't go any more than 20% up front if you drive alot at night. I just steamed my front tint off today . I had 5% up front 35% in the rear. Very hard to see....

Yeah, $60. But that was in 1995, for a Mazda B2200 Cab Plus, and on special.

I've also done window tinting myself, just be patient and careful, and easier with a helper.

I paid $120 for all four windows, 20% fronts and 5% rears. I also got a 5% strip. Then I paid $40 for the entire windshield to be tinted at 35%, and yes, I can see perfectly fine.

I can't remember the brand the local shop uses... Something -tec I believe.

Aren't the windows in the rear doors on a CC or rear 'doors' on an extended cab already the equivalent of about a 26% tint from the factory? It would seem like applying a 5% tint on top of that would be like having black paint on the windows.

In my case, living in PA, generally any tinting is illegal. Sticking with a 35% tint though and you shouldn't have any issues. I plan on doing 35% on just the 2 front side windows this spring.

Tinting the windshield in this area would probably get you in trouble though with the law. In theory, it does seem that applying a 35% tint, or even a 50% tint to the windshield would help alot with glare at night. I would think it would be highly beneficial at night when driving, especially for people who have issues seeing during night driving.

Hahaha.

And yes OP, I'm lucky not to have to much worry about it in this area.

I got my fronts and windshield strip done for about $115 give or take a few. That was the shops "midgrade" tint too. Live in PA, and had them match as close as they could to the rears on my CC. Think it was 20 some %. Haven't been bothered in 10 months. Night driving can be challenging when reversing.

On my last truck it was $75 just for the fronts at my local place. This time around though I think I'm going to do it myself. SOOOOO much cheaper! I will be buying the tint pre-cut and then apply it myself. Check this place out:
Nissan Frontier Crew Cab Precut Tint Kit | Nissan Frontier Crew Cab Tint Kit | TintZoom.com

They use Llumar tint, which is some of the best out there. For the exact same stuff the shop put on I can get that and the application kit from
Amazon Amazon
for about $35 vs. the $75. The savings just go up as you buy more pieces.
