Autopia ebay Fog Lights

Anyone bought a pair of Autopia fogs from ebay for their D40. What have your experience been with them. I can see the ad and they look very tempting. I just want to know if they fit the hole or will some playing around required, the pictures on ebay show that they fit quite well into the D40. Also, how do the reflector perform?

Thanks

I highly recommend OEM or OEM style fog lights. They are very easy to mount and fit great. I hear that all 05+ frontiers are pre-wired for fog lights, but you will want to check to make sure. Look under your bumper and you should find 2 small wire harnesses taped up top on the bumper. Here is the kit I bought for my XE: eBay Motors: 05 06 07 NISSAN PATHFINDER FOG LIGHTS W/ MOUNTING PAIR! (item 380057735244 end time Aug-29-08 15:51:54 PDT) . It is plug and play to those wire harnesses, and it only took about a 1/2 hour to mount both lights. If you have a chrome bumper, buy this kit: eBay Motors: 2005-07 NISSAN FRONTIER FOG LIGHT 4 CHROME BUMPER OEM (item 120298853372 end time Sep-02-08 14:59:57 PDT) and buy some trim rings from a dealership (so I hear, I don't know for sure on the chrome bumper details). Hope this helps!

I have a 05 se with the wiring in the bumper for fog lights, would I need a new stalk to turn them on?

As far as I know, it depends on when you want the fog lights to come on, and how much control you want over them. Follow the link in my signature to find out how I wired my fog lights. Wiring it that way, they will come on with your parking lights (so they are on when your headlights are on, high or low beam). I have an XE that didn't come with the lights, and I didn't want to fool around with any stalks (plus it's cheaper that way), so that is the way I wired it. If you want even more control, you can couple that wiring technique with a relay and a switch you put inside your cab. The possibilities are endless. But NO, you dont HAVE to get a new stalk, depending on how you want the lights to come on, because that wiring technique will completely bypass the stalk switch.
