Exclamation ARB Bumper but which winch?

Hey boys. I pulled the trigger on a ARB front bumper after a tree & my fender had some words. What winch is everybody running? 4wheel parts recommended a Warn m8000. I have a smitty bilt winch on my jeep which has worked fine the 3 times i Have used it but it rusted after 3 months (I live By the ocean). I would hate to pony up the big bucks for Warn(I know they are the best) & it rust also. Looking for any winch advice, specifically beach dwellers who deal with the rust issue.

Has anybody installed a ARB bumper?

Winches are available really cheap these days. All depends on how much you want to spend. I chose Warn for their dependability and serviceability.

I have a Smittybilt xr8, and my pops has a xr10 on his Rubicon.

Both have functioned well, and had the right price point.

I am not in huge hurry & I know that winches go on sale unlike the bumper. Looks like the sale this month is mile marker. I know Warn is the name I just wonder about the rust. The M8000 was $650 which I did not think was to bad for a Warn. That was not even a sale price.

I am between a Warn or another Smitty bilt. Hopefully the new smittys don't rust as easy as old ones, I have the very first one they put out a xrp8 I think. No performance issues just looks like crap with the rust.

How many times have you used your Smitty? What did you pay if you don't mind?

I have used mine twice and it was 300 bucks.

Pops has probably used his a dozen times pulling other people out.

Mine worked flawlessly.

My opinion..you can't go wrong with a WARN. We have the XD9000, and we have used it a handful of times and it's performed flawlessly. With it being around the holidays I'd bet you could find a good deal on them.

The M8000 has been around for years. The good thing is the relays are serviceable.
Read reviews on all the different brands.
Warn also has a cheap line. I believe it is made by the same company making the Smittybuilt, probably China.
