anytime you switch anything with more than 1/2 an Amp its a good idea to use a relay to do the work for you

The only reson I ask is that I see alot of hid kits on ebay without relays and I'm wondering if anyone is buying relays.

I've been using my HID kit for about an year on the stock wiring. No relays.
No problems yet.

all of the HID kits are universal the relay is used for low wattage headlights and applications .So in our trucks you doin't need the relays they are not going to make the kit work so toss them in the junk pile .
I asked the same question to my vendor "world imports" they made my dual eliment kit and its great |

The kit I am using has an inline fuse on the power cable and all separate wiring from the stock so didn't need a relay...
I guess it all depends on what kit you are looking at investing in. If I were to do it all again, I would buy the VHO (very high output) kit from BlingLights. I'd rather have a 55watt light over the 35 watt light....oooooo brightness!!! |
